We are overwhelmed with the enormous interest in this project. So we'd like to begin by offering a big "thank you" to our Austin Music Community friends. AVO is primed and ready with musicians and other volunteers who are ready to help us collect new and used instruments, restring and refurbish, and deliver to homes for children around the state of Texas and beyond.
We're collecting instruments RIGHT NOW, but that's just the first part. The really important work is not the giving of the instrument. The important work AVO is doing is to provide the community support mechanism through which children not only learn to play and take care for the instruments, but also take care for themselves.
